The Victims: Silent Dreams
Hold on, because tonight on The Sound we’re gonna hit 88mph as we take you back to the mid 80s for The Victims album Silent Dreams. Originally released on vinyl in 1986, Silent Dreams is now being re-released in digital form, a whole 35 years after it’s original release. We caught up with Victims vocalist and keyboardist, Steve Harm to find out what it was like to start a band, make a record and book tours all without the aid of the internet. Imagine, 3 teenagers in rural wi in the early 80s creating a buzz across the country, capturing the attention of college radio, record labels and even billboard magazine. I’m Bill Stoneberg, stick around as we take you back to 1986 for The Victims album, Silent Dreams, tonight on The Sound.
Original air date: 04/21/21.
The Sound is written and produced by KQAL 89.5FM on the campus of Winona State University.
The Sound is made possible by a grant from the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
